I've often wondered if some components are just rebranded versions of cheaper alternatives. It's tricky because when a customer specifies a name brand, I feel obligated to stick with it. But how do you identify these rebranded components? I usually compare datasheets and part numbers across different brands. Sometimes, the product image is the exact same except for a logo or color, which makes it even more evident.

Have you ever successfully convinced a customer to accept an alternative brand? How did you ensure that the substituted components met the same quality and performance standards? I'd love to hear your experiences and strategies!
